Graduated in Painting from the Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa - FBAUL (Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon), Portugal, in 2002. He finished the Photography Advanced Course at Ar.Co - Centro de Artes e Comunicação Visual (Arts and Visual Communication Centre), Almada, Portugal, as a Kodak scholarship holder, in 2005.
He also completed the Photography Course of the Programa Gulbenkian Criatividade e Criação Artística (Gulbenkian Programme of Creativity and Art Creation), in 2008 and MobileHome - Experimental Course in Contemporary Art, Art Allgarve, Loulé, Portugal, in 2009.
