arteportugal aims to introduce and make attainable emerging Portuguese contemporary art in a national and international context. the exclusively online format, in Portuguese and English, has two permanently articulating functions: that of an art gallery and a platform for the promotion of the represented artists. it is a meeting point for Portuguese artists and those residing in Portugal who are still defining their creative paths or are consolidating or even reinventing more far reaching trajectories, thus providing sound artistic proposals and a wide ranging outlook of the Portuguese creativity in the field of visual arts. first of its kind in Portugal, it allows the permanent exhibit and availability of works of the represented artists. The arteportugal team provides the visitor personalized assistance, and is happy to answer to any queries about the online purchase of the artworks. promotion is also achieved by means of the presentation of art shows, complemented by online catalogues, the selection of information about the represented artists (news of projects in which they are involved, press releases, opinion articles) and contact with other working in the area such as museums, institutions, art galleries, curators and art critics, around the world. |
